Subject: Acknowledge receipt
Dear friend, I am sorry for taking little of your time. Please accept me
and listen to my humble request seeking for your advice, relationship and
help. I am a medical nurse by profession and currently working with the
United Nations troop in Syria on contract basis.
I have been here for almost 18 months living in an unpleasant condition,
every day going to bed with heavy heart due to many souls that are
perishing here on daily basis and waking up the next morning to start
struggling between life and death in a bid to saving victims.
Sometimes I do ask myself how and why I found myself here. No freedom No
communication. No means of knowing what is happening out there. If we must
communicate, a certified permission note must be obtained from the
military authority before one can be allowed into the military
communication room. (Living just like a prisoner).
My friend, I took the risk to apply for permission in making this contacts
at least to have someone to associate with me as I lost my newly married
husband Mr. Joseph 5 years ago to civilian crises. He died in September
2013. Since then my life became bored. Sometimes looking confused and
rejected. It is on this instance that I thought having someone like you
out there who will be relating to me as often as possible will go a long
way to encourage me to continue living the life the way it comes until
when my contract here will be over.
Though not certain when I will be permitted by the military authority to
use their communication room, But in any given time I will try my best in
securing chances to hear from you because such messages from you will be a
source of joy, strength and encouragement to keep me moving on. I hope you
will accept my humble request and also wish, you will continue this
contact / relationship. However, how is life in the country and in
general?
I believe there is peace otherwise what we do hear all the time is
killings and crises all over. My dear, please do not fail to reply as all
my dream these days will be in expectations to read from you. As we
progress, I will fully explain my worries and the areas I will need your
advice.
